Elambo is an autodidactic painter from the D R Congo.
The subject matter of his paintings is predominantly derived from traditional and cultural scenes, sometimes imbued with symbolism. His complex style of layering paint with tasteful preconception and then neatly scratching out the desired forms has been developed over the past 15 years.
